Rocky Mountain Union

Alex Lieban, John Dodge and Charles Stacey are Rocky Mountain Union

Rocky Mountain Union takes the sense of contemporary folk with the chords and structure of jazz, a nod to Americana and a taste of the blues. Don’t forget the influence of Western Swing from time to time. Based in Denver but spreading their stories and sound through Colorado, New Mexico and an occasional swing down to North Texas and as far south as Houston, imagine for a moment that John Prine and and Neil deGrasse Tyson or perhaps Guy Clark and Carl Sagan were songwriting partners. Or if you’re way out there imagine that Carl Jung had been a singer/songwriter.

The reviews are coming in: “Rocky Mountain Union has come up with a excellent album of mixed genre gems!  The guitar work and vocals are strong and the original material is true music to my ears. If you like everything from Americana folk, western swing, to even lite jazz fusion, you’ve found the right place.   I commend them on a job very well done!   -John P   Amarillo, Texas  (Angel n’ the Badlanders Band)”

“The character of the singing and lilt of the rhythms – timeless! The songwriting overall is very earnest and refreshing.” Anabel – Chicago

As I listen to the tunes I travel into an image of riding on horseback and that the beat of the sound is trotting on Rocky Mountain Trails carrying each story up and down.” Toshio – San Francisco
